Just how Fucked up is this world

I just don't know what's really going on in this world and from the looks of thinks everything is fucked up beyond believe. Everything from who really has the power, to money, to robots that could kill us. I just don't know what to think any more.
I might just say: I think that the chances of finding out what's actually going on are so absurdly remote that the only thing to do is to say, "Hang the sense of it," and keep yourself busy. I'd much rather be happy than right any day (quoting Slartibartfast from HHG2G)

Well on the news tonight there was an article on Thailand where Muslim extremists have murdered over 150 teachers.
BUT
There was a puppy pride parade in Auckland so all is good.
