What makes a human baby so precious to you? Is that baby worth the misery and work of the mother (and others)? Is that baby worth the cost of raising it? If we can war... can not we abort?

It doesn't matter. If someone doesn't agree with abortion then don't have one. People need to mind their own business with this issue.

There's no harm in discussing, in fact it's possible some good will come about it.

It's not good to silence discussion in my view, and the abortion issue is a big issue.

And that's all we're doing here, discussing. So I'm not sure who, or what you're referring to DLF, when you say 'people need to mind their own business with this issue'?

Yes,I agree;what people "'should" do,and what they actually do are rarely the same, even assuming they agree with one's own moral value system.

I see abortion as only a person health issue, not a religious, moral, legal or political one. At least, that's how I think it "should be".In practice it's all five in most countries.

I am referring to people who are against abortion. Simply don't have one if you are against it. A womans ovaries and pregnancy is their own business. Not anyone elses. I honestly don't know why it needs to be discussed. It's a private issue. Even if it were illegal women would still have abortions.

Well the fact it's an issue is why it needs to be discussed. I understand if your point is perhaps it shouldn't need to be, but discussing this matter is the best way to get views, such as yours - addressed.

And I personally don't think there should ever be a ban on discussing something, no matter how strong I feel about it. Because there's always the thought "What if I'm wrong?" - not that I'm suggesting that you're suggesting that.

It needs to be discussed because there is an extremely vocal minority who do things like this.

There are people who want to take away other people's ability to make that choice. Some of these people are dangerously close to very powerful positions.

That's why things like this still need to be discussed.

I am Pro-Choice and always have been for as long as I can remember. However, I do not believe abortion should be used as a Birth Control in any form. Along with, I do not agree with late term abortions unless the mother's life is in danger in ANY type of way.

It's one thing if a parent has raised their child to feel comfortable enough to talk to them about whatever comes up etc. However, it's another when you have a child that has grown up in a very strict religious house hold or even a child that is being raised from one foster home to the next..

A bill that forces a young adult to have to come to their parents for something like this, should never be passed as legislation. As a parent, I can tell you that you will never get anywhere fast or good when putting force upon a teenager...just think back when you were 14, 15, 16 years old and having to deal with your parents on any matter (That question goes for those who grew up in a strict home)....
Intelligence is the only true moral guide...
