Quote:There is nothing fundamentally new here.
The experiment was to determine the effects of the severe cold of space.
Quote:In an ultra-high vacuum chamber chilled to 10 degrees above absolute zero (10 Kelvin), Seol Kim and Ralf Kaiser of the Hawaiian team simulated an icy snowball in space including carbon dioxide, ammonia and various hydrocarbons such as methane, ethane and propane. When zapped with high-energy electrons to simulate the cosmic rays in space, the chemicals reacted to form complex, organic compounds, specifically dipeptides, essential to life.
And they didn't need a god to do it.

Particle physicist Brian Cox says that the question of how life arose in the universe is the most important question facing human kind.
Stone age humans would probably agree.
But why is an atheist like him saying that is (still) an important question. Surely the answer according to atheism is an infinite regression into a past eternal universe where everything has already happened an infinite number of times, including abiogenesis/panspermia.
Which reminds me, I'm still waiting for my Shakespearean sonnets. Whats keeping those monkeys? They must have been typing forever....

Dream on queer-boy, I won't be part of your fantasy.
.
Queer-boy? Can you explain that bizarre remark? What fantasy???
In fact, what the HOLY FUCK are you even talking about?!?!
Chuck said: "You, on the other hand, are sucking enthusiastic a nonexistent cock."
The whole problem with what he said is that he imagined me sucking cock.
Since he attempted to use homophobic ridicule, I can safely (and accurately) predict that he's a closet homosexual. (I'm assuming "Chuck" is male here)
I called him "queer-boy" as any closet homo will be angered by the publicizing of the implication.
The last part was to pre-empt any attempt to hit on me (closets do that you know...).
Of course, your interpretation may vary...

No, they didn't need a god to do it. But "it" wasn't creating life, now was it?
All this experiment could prove is that life could have been intelligently designed, not that it wasn't. (unless you wish to assert the experiment is 100% random)

Stone age humans would have been too busy trying to find enough to eat to worry about such esoteric shit.

What a surprise that you should overlook the most salient word - "nonexistent", and gravitate like deprived fly to a pile of shit to the word "cock".
If I had higher estimate of your taste, if not of your sense, then I might have assumed you worshipped a goddess who would be said to be too sensible to get herself nailed like a fly to a specimen label by mortals, and said:
"you, on the other hand, are eating a nonexistent pussy"
But then, you would probably overlook the reference to sexual organ and dwell upon "nonexistent".

There was an excellent alien civilizations/panspermia article by biochemist Nick Lane in New Scientist. (June last year) He proposes a theory about advanced alien civilizations using their own technology to self-destruct long before they ever get a chance to use it in a way that might give rise to inter-galactic travel.
In other words, any extra-terrestrial* civilization which had a level of technology that could potentially enable them to reach earth, would be more likely to have used that technology in a destructive way long before it ever directed the technology towards getting to ''our neck of the woods''.
* Extra-terrestrial civilization from within this universe.

He assumes that all intelligent life is no more "intelligent" than us. He could be right...given our example.

Exactly, people want to believe in Darwin's theory of evolution but when it comes to the reality of the belief everyone is steps back... because no 1 wants to be the 1 to say we should let children die in the hospital or blacks in Africa to finally die off and lets us stronger species survive... but they shouldn't bother you because according to Darwin, morals don't exist outside of cultures. especially to evolutionists...
