Russia doesn't want it due to their embrace of the Orthodox Church weasels.

The Vatican doesn't want it due to their Catholic policies for controlling women as breeder vessels.

And, surprise, surprise, a lot of adherents to pan-Islamicism (humorous how extremes get elected when there is no thriving economy) don't want it because it represents a threat to, well, control of women.

Must be hard to let women walk without a male escort while dehumanizing males as sex-crazed addicts who will rape if we see some ladies without veils.
