RE: Science and religion
It does a lot to change my mind about his God being a petty douche.

Hands?

We're just lost sheep leading his sheep away from the slaughter and he's gotta actually level down eye to eye to talk to us if he wants

I am not down with you burning in hell, that is why I am posting here.

But I REJOICE that God puts liars in hell, I am not sure if they actually are set on fire, but I am thankful that they suffer for their lies and manipulation of others and their deceit.

You think a lie warrants eternal torture?

I do get upset a little when people think theists are crazy. I mean, it's just the path that their beliefs lead them to represent. Theists aren't inherantly crazy. Most people I know are theists. Doesn't mean they don't think some fucked up shit about shit when shit happens.
But they're not psychotic. Not if they full heartedly believe god exists. We can't disprove it exists. My 6yr old neice isn't crazy for believing the toothfairy exists, we made her think it does. They've just been made to think he exists.
I don't think this guy is crazy, and I sorta admire him for coming here and putting up with all the shit. But
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

I am not sure it is torture, I think it is more like eternal suffering. It is like people receive exactly what they deserve that they show they deserve from their actions.

When people prove that they do not want to know the truth, God is truth, they show that they want to be in hell. Either you will seek God honestly and listen to theology, whether it is true or not, or you will choose to deceive yourself.

I have seen God, I know God is real, I have seen miracles, I Know that people that deliberately reject the truth will perish. I don't feel sorry for them. They don't want to listen and they don't want to learn about God. They don't want to be with God, so they will be separated.

What ever happened to God's rule of "Turn the other cheek"?

God turns the other cheek. When people mock God, God turns the other cheek and lets them mock him again. That is what they will do forever, they will be trapped in their lies and deception and they will suffer forever.

I have experience it myself. God showed me a revelation of hell in which I saw all the events of my life. I recieved supernatural confirmations and powerful displays of the glory of God. God showed me how God had judged all the events of my life. I was punished for sins that I had commited and God showed me the reason why.

It is real. That feeling that you feel when someone does something wrong and you know they deserve punishment, that is from God. And it will have its desire satisfied in eternity, when "the wicked will continue to be wicked, the vile will continue to be vile".

Yes, God will turn the other cheek, and you will feel it too.

Shaking off creepy factor aside, who are you calling a liar? And who are you to judge your fellow man? I do want to learn about god that's why I'm here in this forum. No one's lying when they say there's no proof or disproof for god. If there's a god, and he's worth worshipping, I'd do it full heartedly. But there's not.

Crazy question: What IF, Hell as described by the Bible, is REAL? Why must you turn what "hell" is, into what you "think" it is?

What are you saying?

That makes no sense, how is that 'turning the other cheek' by sentencing people to hell?

Also, I don't reject God. I just don't see why I should believe the Judeo-christian God, as oppose to Allah, Ganesh, Shiva, Thor, Zeus, or Horus.
They all have equal evidence for them. They all have people that say
Quote:I have seen God, I know God is real, I have seen miracles

So, why should I believe you?
