I never heard of the Nicene creed when I was going to church. I was a Christian, so you are wrong. Or was I not a true Christian?

LOL keep trying Rhiz
It's what your beliefs were based on Rhiz nevertheless.
The fact that all Christian religions accept the Nicene creed doesn't mean that you can write off all the inconsistencies between sects of Christianity. There are variances of belief that you need to deal with.

Such as?
There is only one Christian religion
I made a point that there are Christians who cherry-pick, I don't see how this can be refuted with "That's because you don't know what Christianity is". Some Christians do cherry-pick. Everyone interprets differently, because no two people can interpret anything identically in every case. My cherry-picking point is that there are Christians who avoid a lot of the stuff they don't like and pick only the good stuff.
How can fr0d0 deny my cherry-picking point? His response doesn't refute it. EvF (September 20, 2009 at 6:08 pm)EvidenceVsFaith Wrote: How can fr0d0 deny my cherry-picking point? Misunderstandings begin to melt away when you deal specifically to the direct responses people provide to your objections. I promise. Baptists DO accept the Nicene creed - It was a baptist that first introduced me to the fact.

I did a bit of researching and it seems there is no specific stance towards the Nicene creed. Some accept it, some do not, and some accept "most" of it.
One example that some appear to disagree with: The Nicene Creed Wrote:We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sin. Water & spiritual baptism. I could be wrong though. I'm still reading on it.
