I like to play stealth I can clear most places without being spotted at all. If I bring along anyone they immediately charge towards the enemy and alert every fucker in the entire place. That and getting in the way of my shots, the doors and saying stupid shit every two minutes had me sick of them very fast.

I avoided companions like the plague until Serana started following me around in the Dawnguard DLC. I can't be bothered to finish that questline at the moment, so I can't ditch the bitch. Annoying.

Staying stupid shit every two *seconds*, you mean. While you're sneaking around >_<

I'm with you... I have an intrinsic hatred of being slapped in the face with greatswords, so I prefer long-range bombardment. Whether it's arrows or spells doesn't matter, just as long as I'm not getting hit Smile

RE: Skyrim's been out a while.
You guys are making me feel like I played an entirely different game, but that's because I've never really paid much attention to all of the characters and storyline going through. I mainly play those types of games to explore obscure dungeons and collect the best loot I can find. Perhaps that's why I found myself playing a lot less Skyrim than I did Oblivion, because they were very similar in those regards. I haven't played in quite a while, but I think it's time to return to Skyrim and pay more attention to the detail of the story and characters.

Oh, and I have to bitch about that one quest where you are being led around by that guy's(Daedric prince?) dog. It was so goddamn annoying and its AI was so terrible that it kept getting stuck on shit that I had to rage-kill it. I continued to the objective to see how the quest would play out, and there was that fucking dog waiting for me. Now I know how the Romans felt when they crucified Jesus.

I just get sick of taking hit after hit. Kinda ruins the experience a bit for me. I look at my character after they have been turned into a burning hedgehog with arrows in their eyeballs and just think I perhaps should have died already. I like all the special moves with sword/axe and shield though XD

Hanging around a room after receiving a quest has given me a lot of interesting dialogue. They did well with the characters and adding story to the universe itself, I think. David is in LOVE with General Tullius since he's voiced by the guy from the new Battlestar Galactica.

Precisely. I've not actually played mage at all yet. Which is weird seems the amount I played mage on oblivion. Probably because the Mage Guild was awesome.

That autosave shit happened to me in the Nightingale temple, when I didn't realize the "light" on the paths through the room was the health reducing part. I died like six times before I cussed the Xbox out and hit an earlier autosave.

Don't get me wrong... Skyrim story is a major tone down from morrowind and oblivion. The main quest doesn't feel vital, and is self-important... the mages guild and 'fighters guild' very much feel like "I just joined, FIELD TRIP! Now I'm archmage.", and the thieves guild has you pledging your undeath to a Daedric Prince, and the fighters a werewolf.

The only 'guild storyline' that I believe is done justice is the Dark Brotherhood one, and I still have to laugh at the pointlessness that Astrid does.

Also, both sides of the Civil War quest are studiply polarizing. TT__TT

Oh shit, that sucked, too, but I think I barely noticed since I was seeing red over that goddamn dog.

I kinda want what I suggested about the end of the White-Gold Concordat to end anyway just to make the fact that people win against Ulfric (at least in the way I played last time) more of a pointless gesture.
