would you use a time machine to change your past

would you use a time machine to change your past
if i had the option to change my past i would not

the past made me in to what i am today
the good and the bad take the bad away and i will no longer be me but a stranger wearing my face

my character and my sense of humor
my thirst for knowledge and understanding

it all could be replaced by a superficial shell of what i am
i like me with all my pro`s and con`s
i am me and i am happy

what about you

I agree. Though I have some moments that I slightly regret, I wouldn't change anything. Smile
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I would go back and prevent the death of my friends that died way too young.

I would go back and prevent the wrongs I have done to others.

preventing a death could be hard if you follow the logic of the old movie time machine

or it could do more harm than good if you follow butterfly effect logic

plus that experience probably shaped you greatly into what you are you could be a completely different person

If I could go back in time, I would probably go kill Hitler in the 1930s. Then I would kill my biological father in 1989, the year before I was born. Then I would never have been subjected to his psychological abuse.

Or maybe one of my friends would have put an end to world hunger.

True, but that person I became was not worth the death of my friends.

Thinking about this, my current mindset is the result of my life experiences, my thoughts through the years. If I returned back I would alter my behaviour by correcting my wrongs therefore eliminating the possibility of me return back to correct my bad deeds, thus stopping my initial trip that would correct... Oh shit! Panic *head explodes* Big Grin

As to the question of the OP:
