What's wrong with being who I am instead of who you think I should be?
Catfish, don't be a crybaby. I've called your jerkiness out, twice. That is all.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

LOL!, I'm not being a "crybaby", I'm pointing out your obvious factual mistake as I know how much being wrong irks you. Look back, you'll notice you attributed fr0d0's post to me. You're blinded by hate, let it go... (May 15, 2013 at 5:55 pm)fr0d0 Wrote: Well from Life of Brian, which kinda shows the UK bias, and also the world I think as how would it do so well otherwise? Contraversial in it's time. Not offensive at all now. To stuff like Dogma, The Simpsons, South Park. These are the front line. Plenty others just behind. To me it seems to be pervasive. I don't mind at all. I just can't see how anyone would thing that there was a widespread religious zeitgiest going on. I dunno, I don't think a little ribbing counts as anti-religion, nor do I think religion should be held above satire or parody. Like it or not, we live in a society were religion is pretty pervasive, and things that exist occasionally get made fun of. I don't see it as being a concerted effort to do anything, just that this is one area of life where religion doesn't assert quite as strong a social influence anymore, mainly because we now live in a global world where you can't just rely on everyone who views your film/tv show/ morse code message is going to have the same ideology, and... well, people get pissy about religion, and controversy sells. Quote:I get your point. To me they're essentially the same. They don't have to be. Nor should they be; unless you're all about your religion all the time to the exclusion of all else, I'm sure you're a little bit secular too. Quote:lol Those were high profile cases in the uk, and both were covered on these boards. And this is how we learn. Thanks for showing me those. catfish Wrote:Seriously, how hard is it to read what I actually say and not what you imagine??? Dude, you really going to get pissy over a simple attribution error? This is worth getting your dander up? Why don't you go back to just willfully misinterpreting that fish comment from a while back? I know how much that must soothe you...

@ Esq I think there's little understanding of religion and these are more than parody. People really think those things. Or are you saying all of what Min comes of with are really jokes? You guys are serious about your objections, and so are the comments on shows like the Simpsons. In the UK I don't think there's the interest left to parody. in the US yes, it's still there in all its stupid glory. Nothing wrong with parody no, I'm all for that. I think I'd go nuts if I were an American without it.
me secular? well Yeh lots. I can't help it. I guess it's "those who aren't with us" syndrome.
What do you want, an apology? An admission? A cookie? Did everyone decide to ignore the point about Hollywood theatrics or we just gonna pretend that didn't happen? OK.
