Jehovahs Witnesses nearly got me!

RE: Jehovahs Witnesses nearly got me!
Cheers guys, I think its mostly a case of institutional fear with the jw's rather than hatrid. As I say, the indoctrination is brutal with them.

Sex, drugs and Rock n roll, amen, I got my fill at uni while I could. Married with kid now.

...and yes we have vegan but try the steak.

Ps maybe I'm being dense but why the bbq'd baby references?

Welcome

Most of the JW's (Mormons too) stopped knocking on my door after I got one of these:

The rest of them stopped after I got this:

Haven't you heard? We're all devil-worshipping baby-eaters. Or so some seem to think.

Welcome.... you should move to the south... I hear it's very nice this time of year. We can eat anything at any time of the year, as long as trees provide it.... ameixas (plums) are coming into season and they do tend to be very good. come join us... P.O.R.T.U.G.A.L!

Seriously, I should work for the department of tourism... instead, Plasma physics.. meh Wink

Just because there are several of them does not mean they are not wrong. People used to believe that "sin" caused plagues....didn't make them right no matter how many "believed" it.

Welcome.

Because they're delicious.

Really stupid people, though.

Have you noticed that the jesus freaks concentrate on creationism but never talk about introducing a class in "driving demons out" in medical schools? Fucking jesus spent a lot more time driving out demons than he did worrying about the beginning of the universe or evolution. But even xtians aren't stupid enough to want to add classes in exorcism to medical school curricula.

I completely agree and I was only able to leave because I won't be told what is right by any number of people if the evidence proves otherwise.

The bbq'd babies replies demonstrate what drove me away from religion in the first place. Rather than defending their beliefs with reason and fact, my former religion would also throw wild accusations and resort to arbitrary insults at its opposers. If you are so sure that you're right why would you fear the possibility of being proven wrong?

I like my BBQ baby served with consecrated hosts from a Catholic Church and the wine if I can steals it. Nothing like eating BBQ baby on top the body of Jesus. That's gooooooood eatin'. A little Jesus blood and I'm set.
