I am quite the Grammar Nazi sometimes. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people misuse 'me vs I'.

The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
Psalm 14, KJV revised edition
It is, in a way. But for some reason, it annoys me.

Find the cure for Fundementia!
I can forgive you for that. I don't really correct people as much online as I do in the real world.
I have extra buttons which would allow me to correct such things. Every day is an exercise in willpower.
Although since dyresand is on break, it has been easier...
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

There's a thread around here called 'So you when to hell now what?' that murders my brain every time I see it.

Even though sometimes the manner in which they speak still makes me cringe. Some of it just sounds so formal and antiquated. But I'm sure they think we butcher their language with our peasant accents Yes, except in the south. In the south they like to use "tu" for some reason I think you're forgetting about Argentina when it comes to Spanish and formality and tango (May 6, 2015 at 7:24 am)SteelCurtain Wrote: It's vs its is one that got me for the longest! When I was still in the ESL (English as a second language) program something that bothered me was how most of my friends had trouble knowing when to use "than" and "then", "you're" and "your", so they'd always ask me and sometimes I'd give them the wrong answer because I worked really hard and they didn't. Looking back, it was such a mean and nerdy thing to do. But I don't regret it, I was always the teacher's favorite. (May 6, 2015 at 7:27 am)Jericho Wrote: I am quite the Grammar Nazi sometimes.
