Doctor Who
Why is there no Doctor Who thread here? Maybe there was one, but it got old. Well, here's one anyway.

Questions to get this thread started:
How does Clara compare to other companions?
Will the Doctor have more regenerations than a Time Lord is supposed to have?
Will the new Doctor ever be a woman? If so, will she be hot?

I like her so far Smile

No idea, its sci-fi so there's bound to be a way round any limitations.

That would be interesting. I doubt it will happen but so long as the picked the right person I think it would be awesome.

Of course!

Imagine the nerdy gal from supernatural as the doctor!

I looking forward to a MILF Doctor. But would the companion be a young and studly man?

I really liked Billy Piper, better and as a character I liked the blue collar toughness.

Meh. So far, I've only really liked Donna and Rory. Clara annoys me a bit.

Probably, especially if it remains as popular as it is now.

No. Time Lords have a set gender. There are female Time Lords, but The Doctor is not one of them. I would be upset if they went that retarded.

Damn, she'd have to be a companion then

Personally, I hope they keep the current Doctor, forever! And ever. But a girl regeneration would be awesome.. just think of all the hot male companion possibilities Tongue
btw I just got to watch the most recent one with my honey and I have to say..that was fucking awesome.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

What's your favorite Dr. Who moment? I love when the Cybermen and the Daleks faced off and traded snaps.

Clara - not as good as Leela, but miles better than Rose.
Regenerations - I hope not, it'd be nice if they re-start the series fresh after the 13th Doctor. There's no point in having a timelord live forever, that's kind of nonsensical. Plus it would mean old stories could be redone.
Will the doctor be a woman? Probably not. But it would be nice if the next companion was a timelady like Romana and Susan Foreman. It would be nice if River returned as the Doctor's "permanent" companion. Since she can also regenerate, there's no real issue in brining her character back.

It wouldn't be the first time they contradicted themselves. The Fourth Doctor tells Sarah Jane Smith that the reason she can understand the language of foreign species is because it's a "timelord gift that he allowed her to share". I believe this is later repeated to another companion. Then the Ninth Doctor tells Rose that it's due to the TARDIS translation matrix - and this is later repeated to another companion!

RE: Doctor Who
Well, isn't anything the TARDIS does something of a Time Lord gift to companions? I don't think that was so much a contradiction as a wibbly wobbly Doctor Who-ey thing.

RE: Doctor Who
Plus it's not actually called a "TARDIS", that's just Susan's pet name for it, it's called a Type 40 Time Travel Capsule, or "TT Capsule" or "Type 40" for short, but not TARDIS. Yet in the series the TT Capsule itself - and for that matter timelords such as the master - refers to it as a "TARDIS"...
