The point being... yes we all understand the point of doing good. The hook is that this is worthless in a selfish context. Sans positivity, all your good works/ all the good you are capable of doing: is worthless in the wider scheme of things, if your overarching belief is that good isn't achieved/achievable.

Look beyond the dogma people.

No. It's not.

You can seriously improve other people's lives through good works. It stretches way beyond just ourselves. But your narrow-mindedness only lets you think, "Hm, what I'm doing is nice, but if it's not helping me achieve salvation, what the hell is the point?" That is dumb, selfish thinking.

And I thought atheists were supposed to be the ones with no morals.
