How have those books managed to become popular? That is just what i have to wonder...
The movie was okay, it was certainly a LOT better than the book. (In my opinion at least) My views on age difference pretty much equate to everyone else's responses here: screw social norm, if you are mature it is your decision. Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam

But the skies are not stormy all day
It's a teeny bopper thing. The pre-teens love it and now Hollywood wants to make it another Harry Potter.

They did a horrible job on the last 3 Harry Potter movies... The first three were actually alright, but the last three have just gotten more and more fail. I think perhaps the actors were better as children?

Yeah I loved the very first of the entire series...I think after the first two or three in the series, the production feels a little "forced".
