Man I think you have something to offer Ideologue and would like to hear more of it. But you've got to work out whatever your issues are with imposing your standards on everyone else. You're new here. Don't be too let down when we don't turn ourselves inside out trying to live up to your standard. Right now you're kind of coming off as a drama queen. You don't want to be that guy.
I'm not imposing anything on anyone. If you read one of my posts to Stimbo, I already said that being arrogant isn't necessarily a bad thing, but being in denial obviously doesn't come across too well. I used to have an Atheist friend who was a pompous bastard, but he was still my friend. I'm not interested in changing anyone.

I always thought that phrase was a bit sexist...why can't I be a drama king?

I don't know where you got that... but if you know who said that: tell them that they are welcome to come back to my place Smile

Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word

Alcohol IS a solution, especially in such cases.

Ask Hitchens if he agrees, oh wait, he's now in heaven next to God with all the other free thinkers while the Christians all burn in hell for not turning on all those lovely components God gave them for good reason... Wink

He probobly would, his last interview he stated how he would do things any different. But that's pointless because it was Hitchens life to live and he lived it as he chose.

Seriously impressed by his dignity toward the end. RESPECT I admit that I'm not too knowledgable about his writings though.

And technically alcohol is still a solution, as is tea, technically speaking.

If we're speaking technically, alcohol is a solvent, not a solution.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
