Why not go to a mathematician for advice on how to fix your car? But of course, fundies think that evolution encompasses not only biological changes in living beings, but also abiogenesis and cosmology. So they probably think it's perfectly normal to have an astrophysicist to debunk evolution. But his admission that he'd ignore evidence if it contradicts the bible is quite telling. To other fundies it's an expression of faith, but to those of us in reality it's a blatant admission that he lies to himself.
