That hardly sounds like "complaining" and more sounds like the last random synapses of a man whose brain is quietly shutting down.

And as economics has nothing to do with atheism, it's also irrelevant to his anger with religious beliefs.

It sounds like it to me, especially since he repeated it for clarification, I think he knew what he was complaining about. Nobody said economics has anything to do with atheism. I said Christopher Hitchens was an angry Atheist, which is what the title of the thread is about.

I think judging someone by what happens on their death bed is ridiculous. That is not how they want to be remembered and that is not how you want to remember them. People work towards a goal their whole live and its the stupid things we end up talking about.

He pointed out things he saw were wrong in the world. If no one complains, no one does anything about it. He was hostile towards bullshit. For some reason, people have a problem with this. Something to do with the 'tone' argument we've been having.

Although personally, I don't know why anyone wouldn't say "Yes, I'm an 'angry' atheist" after seeing the atrocities done in religion's name.
