Yeah. It's pretty infuriating that we know their own damn "holy book" better then they do.

A Christian fundie "literalist" would agree with your objections and want to hold on to those examples of scientific knowledge of that culture and try to graft it into God, just like fundie atheists do.

along the same vein I had a friend tell me the Bible is true because of all the fulfilled prophecies, that there were 500 witnesses to Jesus' resurrection. and "Why would Jesus die for a lie?"

You can't ever let yourself be surprised by their stupidity. Next time some asshole talks about those 500 witnesses say: "Name one."

The scriptures tell us the process of rain, not to any detail, but before science even considered it.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

One pile of Christian bullshit at a time please. I'm still working on the list of "science wonders" which don't withstand even reading the damn verses in context.

I have to run to work but will get back to you on finishing that list.

I don't think so D-P, the things your trying to disprove well, you really haven't.

Reading and sensible discernment are two totally different things.
