"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

More like -you- tell the scriptures what they tell "us" - business as usual.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. How is what you just posted an argument at all, GC? the flood being the first time it rained is not at all incompatible with the inaccurate method the biblical authors ascribed the process to. Try paying attention, huh?

Neither one of you have found the scripture verses yet have you. Keep looking.

What does your own thinking tell you, does that sound very likely?

Yes it does, streams and mists watered the earth.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

The bible tells him so, so it's a fair bet that he does..yes (and that's in there). The bible also tells him that there was no rain before the flood (and that ain't in there)....

-so I guess he's capable of being selective about his beliefs...but I don't think that he's going to select this one out simply because it's hilariously inaccurate.

I found it, but I also found what follows. Seems that the wise people at AIG also think your claim is ridiculous:

Quote: Another often-overlooked aspect of this argument is that rain is an integral component of the water cycle. The term water cycle refers to the physical processes of water evaporation, cloud formation, and precipitation (rain, snow, etc.) that continually recycle the world’s water supply.

The water cycle, being powered as it is by the sun’s energy, is intimately tied to many other aspects of the earth’s climate. While we cannot be dogmatic about the details of the pre-Flood environment, we can be certain that the sun and seas were present (Genesis 1:10, 16). Therefore, there is no reason to insist that this normal environmental process was not in operation before the Flood.

When one believes in something ridiculous, he leaves himself open to believe in all sorts of ridiculous things.

I saw this same image on my facebook news feed posted by someone that I hardly talk to now.

this just seems too backwards for words.

anyone have any comments on this?

Meh..
The way science is used, is to disproove the existance of God. Rather than explain how God accomplishes or rather how God made the universe to work. Why? Because 'scientist' or those who put their eggs in the 'science' basket, hold fast to the Medieval idea that God can ONLY Work in the ways of Magic... To which one has to forfeit all logic and reason to hold on to that 1000 year old Idea.

God is the God of Creation, as such He put the processes in place that makes the universe work as it does. The same processes that 'science' is just now beginning to indentify and lable. So why would God go through all of the trouble of setting up things like Graveity, or some other more sciency sounding process, just to circumvent them each and everytime He wants to do something with unexplainable magic?

The Very Defination of God mandates that he has the ablity to do things as He will. Meaning if one is truly the Alpha and Omega He can set things up so as to use the natural processes of this universe to make happen what He Wills to happen. -Or- He can Magic it to Happen. God does what God wants to do, that's what Makes Him God. Being a God of only Magic makes him a wizard, and not God. God only being able to work with in the 'laws of established science' makes him really smart/Technoligicaly advanced, and not God. Doing whatever the F*ck He wants when He wants it Makes Him God.

You revel in being ignorant and ironic both at the same time. Fascinating, really, considering that believing in a magical sky daddy is to forfeit all reason and logic.
