Science confirms the Bible?

I summons Violet!!

Reality check (sic): the subject isn't science. Perfection can be just that in theory, and in problems of logic, for example.

Wrong class. Science 101 is down the hall

I disagree of course. Both fit a lot of religions, (including Christianity) sure.

"Theory" in science is BACKED UP BY DATA, "Theory" the way you want it to be is nothing but mental masturbation.

No damn it, science is not and has never been religion dependent. "it fits" is what all religious do, that is called RETROFITTING AFTER THE FACT.

If science were dependent on a religious belief then why can a Christian fuck a Muslim and make a baby? BECAUSE DNA does not pray, it simply leads to natural delusion which leads to individuals who do not understand why it is nothing but wishful thinking.

Science fits religion to you just as if a Harry Potter fan used brooms to explain lift in air flight.

If everyone of all religions are going "Science fits my comic book club" that should be a red flag to you, but sadly for most of our species, it is not.

Brian, you are a rebel without a cause!

So if something made perfect sense to you, and you couldn't deny the logic of it, you'd stop yourself from agreeing with it?

Because that would be "mental masturbation".

Did you flunk maths at school? Do you learn stuff really slowly because you limit yourself so severely?

That must be really hard to maintain. I mean, the assumptions we all make in everyday life to simply function must be a real challenge to you.

That seems a little harsh. Sad

Regarding the OP now, it is easy to retrospectively make a passage fit a current view after it is already known. This is why nostradamus predictions are often 'right' (sometimes) because people find a way to interpret them to fit an event that has already occured.

Also, many of those things are simply incorrect without even needing interpretation. Pythagoras calculated the earth was round and determined its circumference 2500 years ago, and also the Earth does not float.

Again, it is easy to find a vague mildy poetic phrase and contort it to fit some event or fact retrospectively.

I appreciate the replies, fr0d0, but I'm stuck on this one. Are you saying that all conclusions derived from spiritual experiences are equal?

I think some are probably more equal than others?

No didn't flunk math. But "rebel" no, no more a "rebel" than someone who gets pissed of at a friend who thinks the earth is flat, tell me, is the earth flat? Wouldn't you get pissed if you had a friend who insisted they were Napoleon when you knew they were not? How much of a friend would you be to them if you did not get them help?

There are no god/s , never were, no volcano gods, no Greek or Roman or Egyptian god/s, no Hindu gods, and no god/s of Abraham. Yes it does piss me off that the species I know is capable of putting metal machines into the air, and put humans on the moon, still think that it is ok, as an adult, to have an imaginary friend. It does not make me a "rebel" to state facts.

You not liking facts does not make me a "rebel", it makes you credulous and gullible. You have a pet super hero claim you merely wish was real, but gods are not and never have been real.

Maybe Buster Bloodvessel then Big Grin

Why should I get "pissed"? I see you making illogical statements here and I'm obliged to help. Offering help doesn't = getting "pissed".

Said illogical statements. You're a 'rebel' because your annoyed beyond reason. You manifest that in written abuse.

You cannot disprove God, and you submit yourself to the burden of proof for that positive claim.

Here's my counter claim: your claim is as rational as square circles.

Show me some facts that I don't like. So far I only see impossible claims.

An understanding of the burden of proof and a recognition of impossible claims?

Ok, who are you and what have you done with fr00dy?

Wink
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I don't know how I can dumb this down any further for you.

Imaginary friends are all bullshit claims. Plain enough? FACT humans make up gods, because that is easier than psychologically facing one's own finite existence.
