Science confirms the Bible?

Don't bother - it deals with archaeological finds in the 8th/7th centuries. Ahab had a city - actually an administrative center - but Cline admits there is no evidence for Jezebel and the rest of the bible bullshit story. Lachish was besieged but we don't need the fucking bible for that. A wall carving in Assyria details the whole thing. And so on.

It doesn't take much to impress a xtian.

As Prof. Ami Mazar wrote in The Quest for the Historical Israel. He sums it up in the 3d paragraph.

Yeah continue lying...it's not like you actually met the man. Cline actually accepts most of the Biblical narrative around the period starting 1000 BCE (he accepts some of the earlier accounts around 1200 BCE with great skepticism though).

It's funny you try so hard to disprove the Bible and I could do better than you in half an hour than what it takes you months to do....mind you that's just the OT....it's not worth trying to disprove the NT because there's not enough evidence to effectively disprove it with great success....just ends up resulting in circular reasoning so it's easier to go after the one with actual evidence.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Then actually do it, Polaris. Tongue

Because I don't think Jesus takes kindly to empty boasting... so long as you don't have a bible in your hand.

I don't like to give American atheists any ammunition, but I use it against them say when they say Christianity is a Bronze Age religion.....you could even argue it's (I'm connecting it with Judaism in this instance) not even from the Iron Age, but then you have some archeological evidence that makes such an assertion a bit complicated.

Correction: science has destroyed idiotic interpretation of the bible.

But now we have bigger idiots that think that this is what the bible was about. That's a backwards step.

I completely disagree. Science stripped religious fanatics of their belief that scripture is the infallable word of god. With that, they no longer had the same intense motivation to carry out it's wicked and dispicable instructions.

As a result, most bible followers are now tolerable to live amongst because they do not care as much about what the bible says. In fact, most believers prefer to not to read scripture, and can only tolerate being told what it says in relatively small increments.

Oh, and I'd hardly consider the current state of believers to be a backward step. No crusades, no religious inquisitions, no executions of heretics and witches; I'd say a ton of progress has been made.

You're assertions are not only bare they are also grossly inaccurate. Maybe education will catch up with you some day.

Nonsense, there are billions of people who still think it's more than a collection of ancient myths.

There are notable atheists professors who also believe that as well though.
