LONDON, England (CNN) -- The world's oldest known Christian Bible goes online Monday -- but the 1,600-year-old text doesn't match the one you'll find in churches today.

The British government bought most of the pages of the ancient manuscript in 1933.

Discovered in a monastery in the Sinai desert in Egypt more than 160 years ago, the handwritten Codex Sinaiticus includes two books that are not part of the official New Testament and at least seven books that are not in the Old Testament.

The New Testament books are in a different order, and include numerous handwritten corrections -- some made as much as 800 years after the texts were written, according to scholars who worked on the project of putting the Bible online. The changes range from the alteration of a single letter to the insertion of whole sentences.

Continual man-made alterations, and we are supposed to believe what the outdated text states without question?

True, but sometimes the imagination cannot be stifled. What is probably more unfortunate regarding the work of fiction is that it is described as non-fiction for the purpose of deceiving and controlling the masses.

Anyone found that first page of legal disclaimers yet? You know, "The characters depicted in this work are fictional. Any resemblance to people living or dead..."

Shame kichie.

And some familiar -- very important -- passages are missing, including verses dealing with the resurrection of Jesus, they said.

Why would you cover up this hear say journalism? Oh that's right because its hear say journalism and it can be dismissed when read in context.

If you want to actually read what changes have been made I can provide a link. Or I can save you an hour of reading and tell you nothing faith shattering is changed. Matter of fact the opposite is true in that we have a 4th century document that underscores the statement that God has keep His book.

Here is that link if your interested http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codex_Sinaiticus

Despite all the editions and omissions, I'm still confident that its still the word of a god.
