Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief. A pretty good documentary that shows just how batshit that "religion" is.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Well, just to begin with, they promised to fix the sexist elements of the original, and somehow managed to make it worse, while making a specific character within it way more annoying. The story is also structurally compromised, because the new shit they added is totally irrelevant- like, literally not even brought up once the stuff in the comic starts happening- and adds nothing interesting. Despite all this, they also made no concessions to the film format to make the story flow better, so it's a bad adaptation too.

It's just a worse version of the comic, in every sense bar maybe Mark Hamill's performance, if you happen to like his Joker.
