Ex Machina.
It was good, but I expected better going by the positive reviews I read. Or maybe I've become so used to the idea of unfriendly AI it no longer fascinates me.
The Usual Suspects.
Predictable twist at the end. And boring for the most part.
Caught "Mr. Nobody" last night. Never heard of it before seeing it on a top ten list of underrated sci-fi films. Very well crafted story set in the near future. Mr. Nobody is the last surviving mortal in the world and the story revolves around the butterfly effect lives he has lived. Much better treatment of the premise than it was given by the Aston Kutcher film.

It had no thought for what happened when got what it wanted. You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid. Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis.
Today I watched the following movies: Forbidden Planet (1956) with Leslie Nielsen and Walter Pidgeon; Pressure Point (1962) with Sidney Poitier and Bobby Darin.
I recently took the day to watch some movies.
I watched: Rings Get Out Rogue One Ghost in the Shell Rings was entertaining. Get Out was overrated. Rogue One was okay. My favorite was Ghost in the Shell.

I just watched A Patch of Blue (1965) with Sidney Poitier and Elizabeth Hartman. IMO, this is a beautiful movie. In particular, IMO, the scenes where Selina and Gordon are in the park are quite poignant and memorable: they illuminate the beauty of friendship and epitomize human decency and understanding. In addition, I enjoyed the innocence and carefree fun that Selina and Gordon displayed while they were in the supermarket.

I made Boss Lady watch the original before we went to see GitS. She thanked me. Different, original better, reboot prettier, Scarlett. |
