I caught it on Netflix as well and felt very much the same. While it wasn't a bad action flick, for some reason it didn't have that "Star Wars" feel.

I actually slept through the destruction of Jeddah the first time I watched it, only the third or fourth movie I have ever fallen asleep during.

I thought it was okay, but that the end battle and the connection to A New Hope was the best part. Makes me want to immediately put in A New Hope and watch it. Otherwise I wasn't thrilled with any of the characters and didn't have a big emotional investment in them so I was mostly just waiting for the end of the movie.

Last movie I watched was Tangled. Cute movie, very enjoyable. I especially like little things like that Rupunzel's teeth aren't perfectly straight and I weirdly enjoy that you can see her toes and her feet look big.
Teenaged X-Files obsession + Bermuda Triangle episode + Self-led school research project = Atheist.

I loved 1, 3, and 4. Three gave us the great tagline: "All great trilogies come in threes." I don't know how many pedants I've freaked out with that one.

It's not horrible, but the only surprise for me was actually sitting through it to the end. (On disk, at home, but hey, I didn't leave.  Tongue )
