I just watched Madame Curie (1943). This is an excellent movie, which was about Marie Curie and her collaboration with her husband, Pierre, in order to discover radium. In particular, I enjoyed the scenes where Marie would begin hypothesizing/brainstorming, and when she would begin to hesitate just a bit, Pierre would encourage her to continue with her thoughts despite how ludicrous or foolish that they may have seemed. In addition, I enjoyed the film's depiction of the scientific method, especially the rigorous experimentation process that was involved in successfully isolating radium from all known elements. Hence, IMO, the film did a wonderful job of illustrating the important role that scientific curiosity plays in discovering new knowledge and making breakthroughs; it made me hope that those who have scientific minds are doing their best to cultivate their abilities, so that they can contribute something cool to humanity's knowledge and understanding of reality.
About a week ago I saw Underworld:Blood Wars. I guess it was sort of worth the time watching it, but it wasn't as good as the other movies in the series, and I found the ending to be somewhat unsatisfying. To be fair, I think I accidentally skipped a movie in the series, so maybe that contributed.

I thought the trailers sold it as a completely different movie than it was so I felt lied to when I left the theater after I saw it. Promised a sci-fi disaster-type movie, got a sci-fi love story? False advertising.

The Watcher In The Woods, 2017 remake.
The original, which I have not seen that I know, had Bette Davis. The remake has Anjelica Huston.
