Yes! Great cinematography, interesting soundtrack, and engaging plot, even though I am well past high school (42).

I watched that HBO documentary on Garry Shandling and he always seemed like taller and funnier version of Billy Crystal.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

If you like Sam Rockwell, have you seen "Better Living Through Chemistry?" I caught it on Netflix a while back and was pleasantly surprised having never heard of it.
Thief and assassin for hire. Member in good standing of the Rogues Guild.
Saw Chappaquiddick recently. Was kinda hoping for a big revelation of sorts, and didn't see anything. Actually was somewhat dull. His later on challenging a sitting Jimmy Carter as president in the democratic primary was doomed, damaged Carter and certainly didn't help Carter campaign against Reagan.
Also saw Death of Stalin. Dark comedy indeed, but more dark than funny. Might have needed a few more Monty Python alumni. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
About a week ago I saw "Love and Mercy."
It's about Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. I found the film to be quite sympathetic and relatable. I won't lie, I got emotional. Sunday I finished "Logan." I recommend it for any fan of Wolverine or gritty superhero movies in general. It kind of took a bunch of seperate storylines from the comics and put them together. Thor: Ragnarok It was okay. Nothing special. I'm glad I rented it instead of purchasing the DVD or Bluray. No replay value at all. |
