Yowsa. I could really see that....what, 6 years or so? ....of aging in the character flashbacks; Especially Todd.
What are you gonna do though? People get older.
It wasn't a distraction from the story, really--just made me giggle from time to time.

The story was okay. More like an extended episode, really. It was reasonably entertaining, though I'm not sure it was worth staying up this late to watch when I've got work in the morning.

I enjoyed the Robert Forster's character the most. Lol...What a cool MF.

Haha, Todd got so fat and dimply.

Yeah...he's a tad puffy.

IMDb: Dead Birds
A group of Confederate soldiers hole up in an abandoned plantation after robbing a bank and find themselves at the mercy of supernatural forces

By "supernatural forces" they mean ALL of them, apparently. Dodgy
This movie was hot garbage.

It started out with potential--and tall, tasty snack, Isiah Washington. But then it seemed as though the writer didn't have any idea where he wanted to go with the script, and just decided to throw in something for everyone. It's part ghost story mixed with a little occultism/voodoo, demonism, cursed items, some shapeshifting/lycanthropy, a bit of vampirism, and a few zombies tossed in for good measure.

What a jumbled, disjointed mess. Character development was practically nil, and what little there was, was just nonsensical.

Trapped: The Alex Cooper Story:
A real-life account of a 15-year-old California teen who was forced to live with unlicensed Mormon conversion therapy specialists in Utah after coming out as lesbian to her parents. Her folks signed their parental rights over to a married couple who generated extra income by hosting gay and lesbian teens in their home with the promise of ridding them of "the gay". As part of her "therapy" she suffered a tremendous amount of psychological abuse, brutality and torture, and was essentially forced to be these lazy motherfuckers' slave under the guise learning the value of gender roles via domestic duties.

If I'm not mistaken, her abusers got off with a slap on the wrist because...Utah.

'The Karate Kid' remake with Jackie Chan.  Entertaining (Chan always is) but essentially pointless.  5/10

Chan is the only good thing about that movie. I do love watching him. Big fan of Jet Li too, so I was a little disappointed by that monkey one they did together.

Just watch Scarface again. That is a great bad guy movie, but it was to me an anti drug movie, because Tony ruined everything in his life.

Holdover from the days of the Hays Committee, "bad guys must get their comeuppance."

Yeah, 'The Forbidden Kingdom'.  One of those films with tremendous potential that never really came off.  It probably would have made more more profit if it weren't for the fighting wire budget.
