'The Many Saints Of Newark (2021). Here's how I imagine the pitch meeting went.
'We're going to do a Sopranos prequel. We'll build it up as a Tony Soprano origin story, but it'll actually have almost nothing to do with Tony. We'll bait-and-switch and make it about the Moltisanti family. But we'll also throw in a lot of pointless stuff that does nothing to advance the story. It'll be as confusing as possible, with lots of idiotic subplots. To make it even MORE unwatchable, we're going to make the characters two-dimensional and they'll be played by as many b-listers as we can find.'
