I saw Elysium a couple of days ago. I enjoyed it. It is a lovely looking film... and Sharlto Copley was awesome.
Cunt
I saw Pain and Gain a couple of nights ago, it was alright. The previews made it seem like they were all a bunch of real badasses but it totally didn't come off that way in the movie. I heard one of the real victim's relatives didn't want the movie to be released because she didn't want people sympathizing with the gang, but I'm telling you that movie completely characterized them all as your typical stereotype of a meathead lunk. Was really hard to sympathize when they appeared just so damn stupid. Dwayne Johnson's character is hilarious just because of how stupid he was.

That was the last one I saw, too, and I enjoyed. It was no District 9, though. And Jodie Foster was just absolutely horrid in that movie. I mean beyond terrible. So bad that how bad she was was all I could think about for the following week.

A gay dramatic movie that had me rooting for the young protagonist one minute and calling him stupid the next.
