A mate of mine has been pushing me to watch 'Bunraku', she couldn't say enough good things about it. I finally got round to it. It may not be the worst piece of utter shyte ever committed to film, but it should easily place in the top ten. Even Kevin McKidd (if you don't know him, he's sort of a poor man's Daniel Craig - cracking good actor), though he was sufficiently menacing, couldn't save this incredible, steaming, stinking pile of cinematic garbage.
My advice to anyone is: If you ever have a choice between watching 'Bunraku', or being gang-stomped by a rugby club high on PCP, try to curl into a foetal position and protect your balls and eyes. Boru

I just watched Dallas Buyers Club, would recommend.
Desolation of Smaug.
And I loved it, but then I loved the first one too. If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71. Jackson did an absolutely phenomenal job with LOTR, makes me wonder what's happened to him. No plans to see any other films in the Hobbit series. There simply isn't enough story to turn a 300 page novel into three overly long films. Boru

Hobbit is atmospheric as hell tho. Loving watching it with my teenage son.
"Transcendence" ... too slow moving. Not really much different to the Borg story. Left me wanting some decent sci-fi.
I just discovered the zatoichi series on hulu, it's about a blind swordsman in the 17/18 hundreds japan.

I started watching "Love Exposure" with Hikari Mitsushima, but 30 minutes in I realized I wouldn't last the entire four hours.
I've got several of her other films that I haven't watched. Maybe I'll watch one or more of those, first.
I watched Philomena the other day. I liked it and would recommend.
Boru, Kevin McKidd is a badass. Lucius Vorenus in HBO's Rome was one of my favorite characters in recent television.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
