The One And Only
July 3, 2013 at 6:23 pm
Clearly, each theists believes wholeheartedly that he has the evidence to support the existence of his deity. He claims to know that his god is real.
Out of the thousands of deities, there are millions of people who favor one over another and claim that the others are not real.
If Christians claim to have as much proof and conviction for the existence of their god as Muslims claim to have for the existence of Allah, who is one from either religion to claim that the other is wrong?
If a Christian can reach a logical conclusion that other deities are myth, what prevents them from knowing that their own god is also myth? After all, Muslims use exactly the same logic to dismiss the Christian god as Christians use to dismiss Allah.
What would it take for a Christian who realizes that countless other gods are not real to also come to the logical conclusion that the likelihood of the Christian god being real is just as unlikely?

I'll answer for them. "God revealed himself to me through my faith. I know because of my personal relationship with Jesus."
Pesonal Revelation
Quote:The Spirit of God descended upon me,” he said. “O, the joy and happiness I felt, [for] I then received a perfect knowledge that God lives, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and of the restoration of the holy Priesthood, and the fulness of the Gospel.”

The same personal revelation that most all religious people of all faiths claim to experience.

The Christian God promises to reunite His created ones to Himself in a perfect eternal life.
If allah is the same as Yahweh, why did he wait till around 600 AD to begin the Muslim religion. Yahweh started at the beginning.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

According to fallible men who wrote a fiction book. Other than that, you have absolutely no proof that biblical accounts are accurate.
I reiterate:
Religion-X uses exactly the same logic to dismiss the god of Religion-Y as Religion-Y uses to dismiss the god of Religion-X.

What "beginning"? You mean why did a different religion jumpstart itself after another competing religion already had some calendar in motion?
You do realize that the "gregorian calendar" is not the first calendar right?
So because the members of another religion didn't align their calendar with
your religious calendar then it's somehow post-dated?
...
This makes total sense. So obvious.
