"No more tears" shampoo not working

Water alone does not work.
Maybe not in your case but I'm a prettyboy. You do bring up a good point, though. Most of the people who argue this with me are women, and I doubt these women do anything that would call for shampoo and soap at least once a day. They're not mechanics. They're not in sewers. They're not doing anything that would make them 'dirty.' And if you garden, that doesn't suffice; Dirt and daisies most certainly do come off with hot water.

Hair looks and indeed 'is' healthier without the chemicals, imbecile.

It cleans it of natural oils. These oils protect your hair.

Not for my hair and not for my skin. I'll use soap and deoderant on special occasion if I really want to smell nice but that's it. Hot water is all it takes.
No. All of this.... Just no. Chemical engineers work hard making shampoo and other soap products that are good for our skin and hair. Those "chemicals" are there to make your hair healthier. Maybe a few decades ago they were harmful, but now there are standards they have to meet before they can legally be on the market. A shampoo that made your hair fall out simply wouldn't be allowed to be sold in your local supermarket.

Yeah, shampoo strips some of your natural oils away, your scalp replenishes those oils, as it is pretty much constantly producing them anyway; that's kinda what a scalp does.

As for only using soap and deodorant on special occasions, as well? I think you might want to read up on personal hygiene. Hot water alone is absolutely not enough to get you clean. Dirt, bacteria and fungus are really good at clinging to your skin. Water is just water. It's not going to remove all that crap from your skin. Soap on the other hand will. Those chemical engineers I told you about also work to make soap as effective as possible at getting that crap off your skin. Dirt will cling to soap way better than it will to your skin, it's like magic! Even the most basic soaps will do a fairly good job of drawing dirt away from your skin in a way water never could.

Where do you stand on toothpaste? Does that make your teeth fall out?

Then what's the purpose of using shampoo? Why not take the step and not have those natural oils stripped at all? What do you do that requires your hair to be shampood every day? Nothing. By the way, I realise shampoo doesn't just make your hair fall out over night. I never claimed it did. It's a long process.

What's wrong with dirt and bacteria, exactly? Also, natural oils, which we all know are there for a reason, come off with that stuff. Fungus, sure, but how rare is that?

The purpose of using shampoo is to clean my hair and scalp when it gets all dirty and greasy and rat's-taily. Ick. I don't need to wash my hair daily, every 2 to 3 days is enough for me. What do I do that makes my hair need a wash? I go to work, that leaves me with black dirt just about everywhere, including my hair. I can't see the black dirt as such, but as soon as I wash my skin or hair after work I can see all that black dirt in the water. Railways are dirty things. Not only that. I sweat. Sweating often makes my hair extra greasy and disgusting. Eww.
Nobody has ever lost thair hair "over time" by using shampoo, unless they had a rare condition or allergy that caused such a reaction to shampoo. Do you think old people all wear wigs or something? Lol

1. Dirt and bacteria are unhygienic and can lead to nasty infections, they don't just put you at risk, but people you come into contact with could catch something.
2. As long as you are living, your body will never stop producing those natural oils. Washing them away won't do a damn thing because they'll be replenished soon enough.
3. Fungus isn't at all rare. We all have it on our skin basically all the time. There are microscopic spores all around us and they land on our skin. If you ever get a yeast infection (which is what happens when the fungus in a nice warm, damp, dark bodypart manages to breed like crazy and cause discomfort and general ickiness) and you take oral medication for it, you might find yourself itching all over as all the fungus on your body reacts to the medicine.

Yeah. Because people didn't die all the time from illnesses that could be prevented by improved hygiene at all.

Oh wait, yes they did, because they didn't use soap enough.
