Believe through faith/ convinced. Yes. As a timeless being God could exist in a dimension that accommodates that. This is theoretically possible.
As creations of God, the actuality/ potentiality: everything is a subset of him. His essence prescribes our reality. This is also true of a singularity.
Cause and effect go in that order. Absolutely. Laws of physics follow laws of logic, or they are illogic.
Laws are observed of the universe, and corroborate logical laws. My theology promotes thinking, exploration and development of ideas, theories etc.
The more we discover about the universe the better we understand God. You would be mistaken if you thought Christianity's aim was to censor anti God information. That would contradict the theology. The entity doesn't inform our thinking. It's the other way around. Our thinking reveals the entity.
My assumption isn't unfounded. It is logically based. Your lack of assumption is similar. Whatever informs your world view shapes the way you approach thinking. You try to be open minded and so do I. You cherish the thirst for knowledge as do I.
What makes God necessary is his radical overturning of our moral direction. Sans justice, this reality doesn't inspire. With the love element that God provides, life is enhanced.

You need to qualify this statement with some facts not your opinions.

It's a story, not literal fact. The point being, once again, that people can't be good by subversive means /get to heaven by any other means than via God.
How do you determine whether a chapter in the Bible is meant to be merely a story or taken as literal fact then?

I assure you that if this was the case, it did not happen in 2000 B.C.

facts, ok
1) there is no proof of 'one' god
2) love is something that occurs between people and the concept doesn't exist in one person
3) the definition of mono-theism, 'one ruler' is synonymous with tyranny
4) the world was not created in 7 days
5) there was no star over jesus, that would be impossible
6) religion is a pandemic disease
now about opinions, who hates opinions? dictators, or religious people.. they cant stand that other people think because they have mono-minds and only they can be 'right'
you need to elaborate on your post and come up with a better argument against the content of what I said, not the FACT that it was an opinion.

With incredibly detailed study especially of the immediate cultural references.
Like I said, you need you find an accommodating fundy to discuss that with.

What your position boils down to is that you can't find meaning, morality, or happiness without inventing a god.

All opinion, no actual scientific proof. There is science on the star over Bethlehem, not that you would accept it, you all will discount science when it goes against you.

If your reasoning in regards to being a theist was in any way logical, everyone in the world would believe in god without question. The fact that there still remains doubt as to the existence of any deity only further proves that there is no true logic behind your assumption. That is why it is called an assumption. I have noticed that you used if many times when referring to whether god exists, and that means you are not entirely certain yourself that he does exist. The fact that you even have an assumption of his existence rather than pure conviction further proves that you are not entirely certain of god's existence. One might logically deduce that you are more of an agnostic than a theist.

Please cite the science regarding a star over Bethlehem.

You have an infection called monotheism. it is the idea that only one is 'right' and all others are wrong. there needs to be a dual ideal for any relationship to work. there needs to be a me and a you, two gods. the empirical evidence of this is the history and experience of mankind under the tyranny of mono-religion.
