I have an issue opening doors

I really dont bother at all I think....... I guess I probably never opend the door for anyone.

Why should I? And if someone were to ask me why I didn`t open the door for him or her I would probably reply something like "Why? Are you to retarded to open doors?"

My sense of door etiquette calls for me to hold the door open for the person coming directly behind me regardless of their sex.

When I worked for the Department, we had specific instructions about that. Whenever we came in through the front security door and someone was behind us, we had to close it in their face and make them open it themselves, even if we knew them. Ok it was a Government building but it still cut against my personal grain.

As a matter of fact, one never does. While you open the door, you notice a group of ladies approching from your front or rear direction and you hold the door for them to pass through, while hopefully receiving thanks for your gentlemanly behaviour.

I know I've said this before, but I'm the perfect gentleman when it comes to this sort of thing. I always hold a door open, before walking through it; I always pull out a chair before I sit on it. I even make it a point of principle to let ladies go first every time. Well, you never know who or what's lying in wait, do you? Best to send someone in ahead to see if it's safe.

I generally stare in open space, especially in cases of women, because the women here are very sensitive, they do not like to be looked at especially by someone like me.

I definitely get the last part (I wouldn't like that either); but if the ladies don't like being stared at, they shouldn't stand where my eyes are looking.

Hehe, there are a few signs you can watch out for. If they have a terrified expression on their face it could be an indication. But don't trust only this, you might be confusing them with the "terrified that they are unable to show their skill gang".

My advice is to wait a few seconds, and if the door is still closed with no attempt bu the dooropinee to use the "door opening device", press the button for them.
