The Worst Place You've Ever Been

Raisio (Reso), Finland. A bloody shithole that has stagnated and is nothing more than a crossroads and a remnant from the 70's or early 80's. Nothing of worth and bloody ugly. (And my crazy ex lives there, so I avoid the town center like the plague.)

My great-uncle Bart's house. He smokes, has poodles that fuck right in front of You and defecate/urinate in the house or in the backyard, and He is an old guy without a sense of smell. He cannot keep up with his own lifestyle so I have more pity than disgust for the guy. The smell is so strong and so powerful I had to plug my nose even before entering the house.

Paris. All those adverts and everything about nice tourism are worthless since everything you can do there is make pictures of yourself with tourist landmarks. There is not a single nice place to go out! Not a single bit of culture offered to people at a affordable price for the middle class! And due to the high rents and all the other shit in that place, the people are constantly angry.
Oh and they hate foreigners, and it doesn`t make a difference from where you are, they will treat you like shit. But probably more if you are from the UK.

I'd second Paris.

Most miserable, unhelpful people I've ever come across, and the city itself is a shithole, full of graffiti, and not at all like the scenic postcards the media and travel companies seem to love to give us the impression of. I remember being in one of the train stations (can't remember which one) and there were queues of freaks lining up outside tricking people and tourists into following them to a taxi. We thought they were just being helpful, hell they were the first helpful people we found, then they start demanding money off you.

Yeah, I wouldn't be upset if I never have to go there again.


A close second would be Coventry.

I really hated Stockton, California when I visited it a couple times when I was studying in Sacramento. That was in the late 90's, so things may have changed greatly. But what horrid urban decay in its CBD!
