Lapland. For being an urban girl, I love hiking, kayaking and the outdoors. And there's no better place to do that than in northern Finland (or Sweden or Norway).

Orlando, Florida.

Theme parks and decent roller coasters, need I say more? Big Grin

Berlin.

Such a good place to be a tourist. Nice people, interesting history and lot's to see.

Scania (Skåne).

Sweden's dinner table. A mix of mostly rural areas mixed with high-tech towns. Such a lovely place!

When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Dubai (UAE)- I've been there more times than I've visited any state in the US. They try really hard to compete with the rest of the world at being the best at (blank). I don't know that they succeed at being the best at (blank), but it's entertaining none the less. (indoor mountain covered in snow for skiing and boarding, waterparks that have conveyers which take you to the tops of all the rides without ever leaving your tube...etc.)

Antalya (Turkey)- I went white water rafting at Koprulu Canyon National Park with some buddy's a few years back. We took a long bus ride to get there, and made lots of stops at "gas stations". In the US, its common to find every type of beverage available in assorted quantities. There, they had tons of 20 Oz. glass bottles of flavored vodka and gin...and red bull. We had an awesome trip!

Rome (Italy)- Even though I'm not religious, I enjoyed going to the vatican. I got to see all the dead popes inside St Peter's Basilica and an abundance of art i'd only seen in textbooks and classrooms. The colliseum was a check in the block, and the food was great.

Lisbon (Portugal)- I've been there twice, and was fortunate enough to be there during a beautiful time of the year. It's a beautiful oceanside city and the people were extremely liberal and friendly. The casinos were small but everything you could want was available. Lots of beautiful sculptures and monuments and unlike Turkey and the UAE, the muslim religion doesn't reign supreme causing alcohol prices to spike! Awesome seafood too.

Boulder Colorado (US)- Beautiful mountains, rivers, and rock formations. Tons of micro-breweries that offer tours. The altitude makes everything more potent *wink wink*...This made rock-climbing especially more interesting. Marijuana is decriminalized and readily available. Tons of down-to-earth people with super positive attitudes. Very liberal place.

It's hard to name them all. I've had fun all around the world (Italy, France, Bahrain, Dubai-UAE, Turkey, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Canada, Mexico, Cypress, and I don't know how many states in the US I've been to, close to half), and still have plenty of places I'm still dying to see. [Surprised not to see Texas mentioned??? *SMASH TO YOUR STEREO-TYPE!!**]

Other places I've enjoyed visiting (but would not want to live in year-round):

Paris, Manhattan, London, Venice, Kyoto, Hawaii, Florida, Deer Isle Maine, the gardens of England, Portlandia, Santa Fe, South Florida and Austin, Texas.

There are probably lots of other places I'd like but I haven't gotten there yet. (I'm looking at you, down-under. Oh, and Spain.)

Where was your Dad stationed? Spain is beautiful sir, I've been to Rota and had a blast! Like you, I long to visit the outback. If I ever get stationed on the West Coast I'll definitely get to go!

I wanted to go to Finland. I'm sure it's gonna be one of the best places I'll ever be. Hell, it's cold, what else could I ask?

Cabo San Lucas is great as long as you don't stray too far.

The island of Kauai is amazing, too.

And Cedar Point just kicks ass.

It`s the place where the famous beer comes from, there are loads of little breweries it is big but not to big and therefor very comfy. It has this wonderfull medieval and renaissance architecture all across the city. The people are nice and friendly. The restaurants serve awsome meals. And I hope to return there.

Berlin.

Go there and figure out yourself why.

Cardiff

Because I found it more comfy and friendlier than all places in England ( I have only been to Leeds, London, Blackpool and Swansea so far there).

Toulouse

That`s where the friendly French people live.

Rotterdam

Because it is better than Amsterdam

Istanbul

It will destroy all biased bad notions and bad stereotyps that you had about the islamic world.

Gdanzk and Prag

The cultural centers of eastern Europe.

OK, I just spent more than an hour writing a reply to this thread between customers, then I hit something and lost everything I had written. I couldn't even ctrl+z it. I'm way too angry with myself to type it all again, so I'm just going to list the places and maybe come back later and elaborate once I've calmed down.

Malta (but 1990s Malta, not how it is now)

Amsterdam (or maybe just Holland in general)

Geneva

West Cornwall (Especially St Ives)

Edinburgh

And just because I'm a pedantic bitch who can't help herself:

Well my bro lives in Brno, and I've visited quite a lot, so I'd probably move there with him if I could

Also, the skiing at Jay Peak, Vermont is pretty awesome.

I know. :§

My point was that I found those places in Wales to be better than the places in England that I had visited so far.
