I'd love to see the architecture generally and everything by Gaudi in particular when I go to Spain. I didn't mention Germany but one of my very favorite garden designers is German but his name escapes me at the moment. I'm not sure how many gardens he has designed in Germany though.

My father was mostly stationed in San Diego, Maryland/D.C., San Francisco and early on in Guam/Hawaii. But he traveled -by ship- all over the world. But the wife and brats were always in one of these four places. We moved frequently though. I went to three elementary schools, two middle schools and two high schools.

My wife got to go there for a show she was in at their National museum in Canberra. They put her up at someone's house who had an enormous and elaborate garden, the lucky bastard. Seriously missed a great chance to be the trailing spouse (best gig in the world).

flint in north wales, it's full of chavs and maniacs including my ex girlfriend, had some good adventures there.

Camden, again because my ex girlfriend is from there and there's a mix of interesting people on the streets.

Manchester, it's where I live basically, and it's pretty good.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Haha...I got a bit of a chuckle at first from that, because in Michigan, "Flint" means the closest you can get to hell on earth, short of driving an hour south to Detroit, that is.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

My favorite place is Lake Tahoe (and more generally the Sierra Mountains). Even the casinos and strip malls cannot hide the area's great beauty. I would have loved to have seen it as the Washoe people or as Fremont experienced it. It must have been stunning.

A close second are the reefs at Cozumel. It's one thing to see reefs in a documentary. It's quite another to see them up close. I have many fond memories of diving there.

I also love San Francisco and New Orleans. Great towns!

Was her name something like Squeeky McBoink or Mia Buttbeopen?

Angel

Shhh...I think he may be confusing a girl with a mechanical bull. Either way, though, 8 seconds is still impressive.

(My wife gives me a juice box when I hit that milestone.) Yeay! Clap

My guess was that your Dad was a west coast sailor. I've always wanted to go to the places they do on their deployments. I suppose the grass is ALWAYS greener though, eh?

I just watched youtube videos about this place, you know any place that has titles like "da streetz" and "America's Murder City" dedicated to it is going to be full of retarded gangbangers.
