Is Hell Really a Bad Place?

RE: Is Hell Really a Bad Place?
The only bad thing about hell is that it appears to be inordinately hot. Thing is if you are not of the body when you get there I can't see why that would matter.

We do not glorify in anyone who goes to hell, you are mistaken us for what you imagine us to be. Those who find their finial destination to be hell will have no one to blame other than themselves. I'm not aware that any Christian on this forum has ever said a certain person deserves to go to hell, however I've been told on a number of occasions to go to hell. I personally believed they meant it.

Even the lost will be resurrected into a body. Sorry.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

It is a good thing you do not speak for all Christians. The majority I have met and spoken with are quite adamant in regard to non-believers burning for eternity, and one can discern form their tone that they glean a particular satisfaction from that notion.

We can blame God for being so damn cryptic. It's his fault there's a hell anyway. He could have decided not to make one, and it also seems that you're okay with him being an arsehole like that.

Once an all powerful god was postulated, a natural progression of thought made a devil possible too. Funny that. Once the human mind discriminates and labels, suddenly all these dichotomies emerge. Positive/negative, up/down, light/dark. And...god/devil. I find it amusing that a reversal could just as likely occurred: a postulated devil necessarily bringing forth it's opposite in god. Now that would be an entertaining version of biblical events!

Poor Satan...forced into a role through a by-product of human discriminatory thinking. Poor chap is a victim by virtue of (ahem)god's existence.

How are you certain that your interpretation of the Bible will keep you out of hell? You need to sell all your belongings first, or you may as well try and squeeze through the eye of a needle. Tell me I'm wrong about that.

Acts 5:4 Peter says to Ananias," While the land remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was the money not at your disposal? Why is it you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God."

According to Peter form the Book of Acts we do not have to sale our belongings, Peter says that's our choice.

I also know you are referring to the rich ruler in Luke 18. You have missed out on the reality of this story, first of all you think the ruler was suppose to sell all he had. But for what purpose, to give to the poor, that's what Jesus told him to do. The purpose was not necessarily to help the poor, it was to put Christ first, then others and himself last, basic biblical Christian doctrine.

Aren't christians supposed to rejoice in all of god's decision? Including sending people to hell?

Satan is a construct created by men with small dicks and smaller brains.

Biblically, Satan is a victim of god. If you would remove those rose colored glasses, you could read scripture properly to understand that.
