At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
Thank you, that was the point I was trying to make

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House “Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom "If my good friend Doctor Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched.....You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others. There is a limit." - Pope Francis on freedom of speech
I can't help but notice the absence of an explanation of Fr0d0's avatar picture. I think, after Ryan's, it is the most interesting one here. What does it mean?
Is he offering us his ass on a platter in a very Christian, sacrificial manner? Or is he suggesting we can kiss it or toss his salad? Anyone have another theory? What about it Fr0d's? I think I've asked you before but I'm blanking on your reply and whatever it is, surely it belongs here on this thread, no?
It's because he believes he's handing everyone here their ass on a plate.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Just like the Armenian holocaust that 'never happened'. FYI: many Turks were Nazi fascists for at least 4 millenia before Hitler marketed his flavour of it. Almost 40% of Turks today still are. While that would be 0,04% in Germany. Cuz they learned their lesson. Not so in Turkey. Yet. As you demonstrate. It is a defining characteristic of the Turkoman people over the aeons. The Hittites in the 19th century BC already claimed a 'Greater Hittite Empire' and for centuries attacked, slaughtered, maimed, raped, and pillaged their neighbour peoples to 'assert their ethnically/culturally superior rights'. The 'Greater Ottoman Empire' wasn't much different of course. And as a true Turk you continue in that glorious tradition. Well, at least politically. Almost religiously. Definitely dogmatically. And you know we aren't particularly fond of religions and dogmas overhere...
You heard it here first, guys: The Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei was founded in Turkey over 4,000 years ago.

Fascism evolved out of 20th century catholic right wing politics and then spread into other regions of this planet to all kinds of different people. Nationalism evolved out of 19th century revolutionary Europe as a movement with the goals of creating nations whos sovereignty was not determined by the ruler but through the culture of that nation. It started as a movement in France and than later poped up in other places such as Germany, Poland, Greece and Haiti. Almoust all 19th century revolutions in Sout and Central America were the result of that movement. I am neither of both. But I wanted to point out to you that there is a difference between the two. And I am not a big friend of randomly accusing people you disagree with nazis with the attempt to delegitemise them through that heap way. |
