Measles Outbreak at Vaccine-Denying Church
RE: Measles Outbreak at Vaccine-Denying Church
What's the Bible say about it? Im pretty sure it doesn't say trust the lord god with all your heart and listen to doctors. I've had every verse imagineable thrown at me from my dad so be thorough. His life is on the line after all.

Unless this too, is too hard to address. In which case carry on
sweeping my posts under the rug then?
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

I think we both know that's the plan, love. Rolleyes

No, just no.

Sorry alpo,
Reference material says yes.

In part to it's length, I only did a quick scan on your Wiki link...but it doesn't seem to confirm your statements. I won't be checking the Nichiren link. Any info it gives would be akin to using the WatchTower publications to get a feel for mainstream Christianity.

Was your momma a SGI Buddhist?

My mother was a Buddhist. Buddhist worship the path of the 'awakened one.'
Drich, the Japanese that had the idea to start using kamikazes were Zen-Buddhists. It's different. They have different key tenants. I doesn't really matter though, because what you said doesn't make sense. I asked you which God, you say they worship a path. That's not a God dude. That's a way of life which one can value and pursue. If I asked you which God you worship, you'd say Christ. If I asked you how you did that, you'd say by trying to follow the path of Christ or something like that. Those are two different questions. Let's try again... Which God do the Zen-Buddhists pray to.

I think this video illustrates quite well how every piece is important and valued.

But, as usual you are late to the party!

And yes, I do ignore bullshit! If you gents spent as much time looking for God as you do my quotes, you might find your proof!

You sound almost as if you want us to stop answering you.

We aren't getting much accomplish as far as exchange of ideas and experiences. The time is wasted in rebutting bullshit!

It's the epitome of straining on a gnat!

And, I can't take anyone serious that keeps using profanity. Its childish, annoying and dumb. Are we not all sensible adults here?

The problem is that no one on your side of the fence will call them out! You get your popcorn out and enjoy the spectacle. So, that makes anyone doing that just as ignorant, and a party to the personal attacks.

If these people are here to vent anger, and need therapy... its wasted. They are not getting the help they seek.

I have friends and family that are atheists. I can't say that I've had even one tenth of the display of anger, hate and angst in discussions about "anything" with them!

Maybe if we were face to face it would be a lot different?

I have friends and family that are Christians, and none of them understand their own religion, much less what it means to be an Atheist. That being said, none of them argue about it. They just continue their lives basking in the comfort of ignorance. Therefore, none of them ignore the objections we raise by sticking their fingers in their ears and stomping their feet the way the Christians on here do. None of them make stupid comments about Atheism that are wildly inaccurate and completely ignorant. Also, none of my Christian military friends say anything as stupid as the ignorant crap Drich has been spewing around this place lately. Just pointing out some details that could make a little more sense of your experience on this forum and why it appears the way it does to you.

As opposed to proclaiming victory sight unseen, without so much as presenting an argument, which is what you're doing here? Thinking

If we're so easy to rebut, then it shouldn't be an issue for you. But the person who keeps talking about how flawed his opponent's arguments are without ever arguing back will only make the rest of us suspicious.

Again, I'd ask you to consider two things: One is that a short look around would show you that we don't treat every theist the way we treat you, indicating that our interactions with you have nothing to do with your position.

The second is that our enjoyment of your spectacle is uniform among us, so it's hardly a case of a few personal vendettas, either.

Maybe the problem is with you, and not with everyone else around you? Thinking
