Jesus parable of the good Samaritan more than demonstrates his stance on the racial/ethnic equality of mankind you simply can't make the claim that he was a racist this is very easily refuted.

Quote:The main problem with former Christians you see who lost all their faith is that the faith was purely emotional and culturally transmitted.

Horseshit.

You espouse a doctrine which was enforced through cultural oppression for centuries and now that you have lost that ability you see it going down the crapper.

Xtianity cannot survive the loss of the ability to kill non-believers. It is one reason the churches are emptying in Europe and starting to empty in the US. About fucking time, I say.

No one needs your bullshit.

People who are (or who will become) well educated and care about what is actually true need a religion based on reason as much as emotion, faith and culture. Otherwise they will become atheists. Many people are culturally raised in their faith from birth and/or never question it but they have a simple faith that isn't under any challenge. The problem in Europe is state controlled churches/religion, belief in God isn't necessarily declining. Europes religious future could well be in Islam. Though I'd be about about pleased to see it as you will be. As long as it's Western/moderate Islam I suppose that's ok.
Come all ye faithful joyful and triumphant.

Let us know when you find one. I'll be over here, looking for hen's teeth. I figure it'll be a more fruitful search.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

I don't think the "unyielding despair" is a particularly good thing, but if you like it.

How an idea makes you feel has no effect on if it is correct or not.
If a doctor tells you, you have cancer, you do not disbelieve that because you don't like the idea. Some people do disbelieve but only after the shock has worn off

And the sheer arrogance of that bloke in the video, I only had to watch 20 seconds until I got fed up. Five ways to look at god, worldviews, and he has the arrogance to put Christianity along side atheism, theism, deism. As though christianity is different to every other religion in that respect. Absolutely pathetic. Not to mention atheism is not a world view at all. It is a single position on the existence of a god/gods. It is a reaction to theist claims, nothing more. He also got the definition of atheism wrong, it does not mean, god does not exist, it means we do not believe that he does. That does not mean we believe he doesn't exist. Theism in general has not made its case. In court you are either guilty or not guilty, never innocent or not innocent. Just because you vote not guilty does not mean you think the person is innocent. Look at Ojay. The reason they voted not guilty is because the prosecution wasn't any good, there was not enough evidence to convict him so they voted not guilty. God or Infact any god is 'not guilty' of existing.
There, rant over.
