At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

The Old Testament endorses polygamy and the New Testament definitely forbids divorce. It's crazy that Christians know their propaganda but not their actual text.

In the context of Christianity, Joseph Smith had that polygamy thing down pat. His methodology was what made it all so wonky.

Can't argue with his conclusion.

So be it.

So, the conclusion to be drawn from this is that it's okay to be an ignorant, hateful bigot as long as it is in Jesus' name. That seems to sum up the Christian position quite well, actually.

The ignorant, hateful bigot who created that caption says that when we disregard God's design, we rob ourselves of joy. What s/he wants, really, is to rob OTHER people of joy.

I'm heterosexual. I'm married to a woman so amazing that I'm in a state of constant shock that she has consented to spend her life with me. But men marrying men or women marrying women, or polygamy or polyandry, or line marriage or clan marriage or group marriage among other people doesn't lessen my joy one whit.

Why? BECAUSE IT'S NONE OF MY BLOODY BUSINESS!!!!!

If your religion prohibits gays from being married, that's whatever. But it should have no bearing on the political spectrum. Religion should not even come up in a gay marriage debate.

its too small for my mobile! (my computers in the shop) What's it say what's it say??
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
