RE: Do You Have any Mental Abnormalities?

Here are some I've been diagnosed with professionally:
* Austism Spectrum Disorder (specifically Hyperlexia)
* Generalised Anxiety Disorder
* Depression (One which seems to simultaneously be impervious to anti-depressants, but mild enough that I can get out of bed in the morning.)
One I haven't been been diagnosed with professionally but I am sure I have:
* PTSD. I was the victim of school-sanctioned bullying for 9 years. I've even had flashbacks frequently since then; in fact, I had a brief one a few minutes ago.

I don't mean to make light of anyone's maladies and it looks like we have quite a few. (So I'll refrain from pointing out that I have two brains but only enough blood to fill one at a time.) I've been deeply depressed and I suspect I've had manic episodes, but never got a diagnosis. I'm over it whatever it was but I know it can return. Hell, anyone can become depressed and when they do they will soon see just how much of what we take for granted can be lost. The conscious mind is a frail thing. If the rest of the mind isn't doing its part, you're pretty much screwed.

I've been diagnosed with ADD, depression, and dysthymia. There's probably a few other thing I have yet to discover too (my family's mental health history is horrendous). My depression is primarily seasonal too. In the past during the winter months I would want to put a bullet in my head. Summer is pretty chill though.

My mother seems to think I have a gradual version of PTSD? Does PTSD even work that way? I always thought it was due to one single trauma.
But, my father had a stroke when I was maybe 7, and died of its effects when I was 14. He had been in Vietnam, and came in contact with Agent Orange. So, my mother raised me on her own for a while, as well as taking care of my father at times. I believe this stretched her thin, and probably me, and caused some problems between us. I have had 16 inpatient surgeries as well, including one on my spine that needed redone a week later.

I have ADHD and some kind of depression or emotional issues. However that later has not been determined by any doctor.

However, I feel healthy when I am around friends. Anyone can be my friend though, I am not closed off like that. I am so lonely though...
