What I'm up to right now is pretty much what I'm up to anytime I repost to this thread....
Browsing science news, drinking a beer (Rolling Rock this time) and listening to Coheed. ![]() Thanks to Cinjin for making it more 'sig space' friendly. RE: What's everyone up to right now?

Just got caught up with grades and ready for an intense week of conferences as well as teaching. Fricking freaked myself out though. When I opened the grade program to enter the first grades of the new quarter there were already test scores there from the first quarter exam. My first thought was that I'd dated the file wrong and that they'd been left off the report card. Then I finally remembered being enraged that I had to re-enter them owing to some computer glitch. Turns out, it was no glitch. Just me entering them on the first day of the new grading period but forgetting to give the file an appropriate date. God I hate technology .. except when it does my bidding of course.
Yeah, yeah, I know. It always does my bidding. G.I.G.O. That's the other thing I hate about technology.
this thread just hit 100 pgs recently, Stimbo! Congratulations
![]() I remember the days when it was brand new, so young and innocent..
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite. Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment. Quote:Some people deserve hell. I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong. ![]()
Thinking about telling missy that one can set page displays to custom post counts per page, I have only 52 pages at this point (20 per page).

Beer. That's what I'm doing.
"No-one who decides that scientific evidence is not for him and that his own experience or the stories of others is the be all and end all of deciding what's true ever has the right to call people searching for reliable, repeatable evidence narrow-minded. That is hypocrisy of the most laughable kind." Derren Brown - Tricks of the Mind.
Finished a game review and published it to my blog while browsing the forum here.
A storm is approaching. I'm not sure if I can find shelter, or if I can reach it in time. Drinking coffee and contemplating the gathering clouds, and wondering how I am going to survive yet another one of these, and what I can do before the storm is actually upon me to minimize the harmful consequences associated with these storms. But for now, the wind is reasonably calm, and there is good daylight under which to plan and prepare. Soon, though. Soon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5GTTlEtGMI ![]()
Just getting up. Soaking up some AC. Listening to NPR. Decompressing from this crazy trip. But at least medically, I appear alright, now.
