If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Back at work after a week in Ohio. Will probably complete the first stage of a home purchase today (agreeing on a price).

Sat here fielding endless questions by email and phone about the new changes in Section 125 Flex Plan laws... which is my job, but still. I'll be glad when February rolls around and things settle for the new year. Also watching October Sky, which always makes me blubber like a Baby Huey.

Did you know that as well as referencing Sputnik 1's launch in October 1957, "October Sky" is an anagram of "Rocket Boys", the title of the book on which it was based? I think it deserves an award just for that.

Well, I love what used to stand for National Public Radio. And I love being cool. Gotta have air conditioning. And I flew up to Sacramento intending to go to a medical conference. I also planned an extra day to Amtrak to Berkeley. Made it to Sac and Bkly, but in Bkly, I got dehydrated and went into the emergency room at Kaiser Oakland.
Missed both the college soccer match and the conference due to this medical issue.
