Which is okay, seeing as we've been getting higher than average temps and lots of clear, sunny days. I shudder to think about our water reserves, but California is way worse off than Oregon so wuddayagonnado?
I've seen what you folks in the Willamette Valley call a drought. You have no idea!
The funny thing is (being a Willamette Valley res) you don't either. Farmers here depend on pennies from heaven in the form on snow in the Cascades and ground water. That we have an abundance of water doesn't mean we are prepared to have less then normal. But at least we aren't depleting a aquifer---having less this year won't deplete our reserves because we essentially don't have any.

Per my earlier post, SDFD responded with a smokeblower. Traced to a unit on the first floor, below me. Guy fell asleep with food on the stove.

Having Chinese with Kitty and one of her kids.
They've got something on the menu called "Sizzling Happy Family". I couldn't possibly eat that much.

I'm late for the first class in the morning so I stopped in the usual place, asked for a coffee and I'm surfing the web until it's time to go to the next class

Would you mind if we annexed Oregon and piped some down this way?

Every time I've got skiing something ridiculous has happened.
Once I was going down a hill will moguls and my ski stuck straight into the side of one and I face-planted into the mogul.
Once I just got on the ski lift and right as my feet left the ground one of my skis dropped off and I had to get off at the top on one ski (for a less-then skilled novice that was hard!)
I don't do winter sports.

Today should have been our anniversary. Fourteen years ago to the hour, I saw my sweet little precious Sam for the very first time. And my world wouldn't ever be the same again. I miss you so much my little princess. I wish I was dead.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
