More cooking. I've had a tri-tip roast marinading in burgundy, garlic, and pepper the last couple days. Now it's part of a one pot clay cooker meal baking in the oven.

The bottom of the clay cooker is lined with thin sliced potatoes sprinkled in salt, pepper, and paprika. The roast is in the middle. The top is chinese cabbage, sweet peppers, mushrooms, and onions, tossed in salt and white vinegar, and olive oil.

About an hour from now I put each layer in a separate dish and we'll have them with Italian bread.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

Watching HBO's VICE on Killing Cancer with Viruses. Apparently technologies are allowing us to genetically modify smallpox and measles viruses in such a way that we are able to make them attack specific cancer proteins and not healthy tissue. This is fucking amazing. If you have HBO, watch this program. "VICE Special Report: Killing Cancer."

This medical facility is kinda creepy, actually. It's nice, just... regimented, in a way I find vaguely disquieting. I suspect it's worse for my wife, the patient.
