Update:  Kitty and her son came home about 2am from the hospital.  He's somewhat better so we're optimistic.

In other medical news, Luckie went through major surgery yesterday morning, and is currently recovering in hospital. The operation was a complete success, moreso than we were even expecting; the surgeon not only corrected the mistakes of the last operation, he also managed to save two feet of the relevant organ- Luckie can tell you herself what it was, if she feels like it- that we had previously been told was unrecoverable and possessing a high risk of becoming cancerous down the line. She's in excellent hands now.

As for me, avoiding work because it's boring cross-checking of drawings and equipment schedules.  Sometimes my job really sucks.

I'm so pumped right now. I feel like I already defeated this day and should retire to my chambers. But, I still have to pick up my daughters first pair of glasses (near sighted, you're welcome kid) and watch her recital. It's a good day.
