That's why I love Michigan. We truly get four seasons. Summer is short, winter is long, but we at least get all four seasons. There's an old saying in Michigan, "if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes." It's true we've had ice storms in May and 90+ degrees in October. Just a few winters ago it was 65 on Christmas Day.
Yeah, it's the same in Ohio. Same saying, too (Except, you know... Ohio had it first hehehe). I might not mindwinter as much if I didn't live in the country. Everything gets so damn muddy, and the already long driving distances become infinity longer and white knuckled. It feels like living with a ball-and-chain. The only good thing about winter is when it ends- every creature becomes so cheery. Birds are singing, girls are wearing shorts, the crime rate goes up...no wait.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

Ah Ohio, the armpit of America.
Sorry that's the Wolverine talking in me. Yeah it's the same there but you guys have waaaaay better roads. Try a commute in Michigan. They are hard enough in the summer.
I thankfully only live 5 miles from work now so the commute isn't a problem, but for years my commute was 45 miles one way, so i know that pain all too well.
We are not made happy by what we acquire but by what we appreciate.

Ah! A Michigan fan. This season just got a bit more interesting
I really want to tell you a bunch of Michigan Wolverine jokes right now, but not if I'm gonna have to explain them afterwards. Hehehe
There's no telling how far I have to drive on a day to day basis. I'm up in Lakewood today and might be in Massillon tomorrow. But! This is my first year with this company and we don't work in the winter. I'm still deciding if I want to do the unemployment route like the rest of the guys do, or if I want to find another job for the winter. They say if you save up all the overtime money from the season (60+ hours a week) then the unemoyment is enough, but I won't know yet. Seems like one of those things that works on paper only. Not driving to work in the winter would almost be worth it though.
